Aashish K. Mishra

Senior Advisor, Public Sector, Urban Resilience, and Inclusive Development

Aashish K. Mishra is an international development strategist and public sector reform expert with over 24 years of experience designing, implementing, and evaluating complex, multi-sectoral programs across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. He specializes in urban and regional development, results-based public administration, climate and disaster resilience, inclusive infrastructure, and donor safeguard accountability.

Aash has held senior technical and advisory roles with the United Nations, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNDP, and UK FCDO, among others. His portfolio includes leadership in program results and impact evaluation, intergovernmental fiscal reform, SDG financing strategies, and community resilience frameworks. He has advised central and local governments on pro-poor service delivery and urban infrastructure finance, and supported multi-donor platforms to strengthen climate adaptation, gender equity, and social safeguards.

He co-founded JESCA Solutions in 2015 and continues to serve as a strategic advisor, contributing deep technical and policy expertise to advance resilient and inclusive development.

Aash holds a Master of Public Administration in International Public Policy and Program Management from New York University, an MPhil in Regional and Urban Planning from the London School of Economics, and is currently completing a MicroMasters in Data, Economics, and Development Policy from MIT. A skilled communicator and researcher, he frequently shares insights through technical publications, advisory forums, and international development networks.”
